Instruction to identify causes of delay to railway station improvement project

Ireland | Road & Rail | Delay Experts

Vantage Three was instructed to provide expert opinion in relation to the causes of critical delay on a project involving the construction of a new entrance building and connecting subway at an existing railway station.

The key civil engineering challenge was the deep excavations in highly permeable alluvial deposits with a tidal water table.

The route of the actual critical path was mostly uncontentious so the impact brought by Vantage Three’s delay expert was through a thorough forensic investigation, analysis and presentation of the actual causes of critical delay based on the available evidence.

The matter was referred to conciliation conducted under the Engineers Ireland Conciliation Procedure 2000.
